JUGGERNAUT DESIGN LIMITED
From late 1993 to 2000 Geoff Stewart, Graham Russell, David Germond and Steve jensen were a design team called Juggernaut. With studios and workshops located at 19-23 Kingsland Road in Shoreditch, they designed and constructed projects for some great clients, Vivienne Westwood, Mean Fiddler, Out N Out Leisure, Cream, Giraffe and Richoux to name a few.
In the Autumn of '92 Steve Jensen arrived back from Barcelona to a cold depressed London and suggested to Graham and Geoff that they form a practice, so setting up a tiny office in South End Green, Graham forging a working relationship with Tom Dixon and securing their first project Ian's Barbers, a series of fortunate events took them on an amazing journey of creativity and production forging a unique place in the burgeoning history of British Interior and Furniture Design.
Juggernaut's legacy remains today, their projects still have originality and strength, sitting outside the commercial bubble of contemporary Interiors, edgy, and intuitive, a celebration of the creative process, design, test, make, repeat, no single element controlling a project. Juggernaut drew with pencils and pens, cut up cardboard, steel and plywood and brought it all together with wit and guile.
