Just before the London Olympics in 2012 Groundwork London worked in partnership with the London Legacy Development Corporation to deliver a competition for school children to design an accessible and sustainable meanwhile space in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. Over 300 pupils ages 13-15 from 10 schools took part in the project.
Steve Jensen was creative advisor to the teams during the project and advised Groundwork and LLDC during the process and final outcome.
Guest judges including Doreen Lawrence and Sean Lock presented Gold, Silver and Bronze awards at a celebration event. Groundwork and LLDC are working to make the winning design a reality in east London.
